Honeymoon Island, Dunedin, FL

I was in Florida for a conference and stayed with my friend from college. One of my free days we decided to go kayaking out to Honeymoon Island in Dunedin which is north of Clearwater on the Gulf. She brought her kayak and I rented one from Sail Honeymoon Inc which is located on the Dunedin causeway.

We paddled across the water, chit chatting the whole time. Watching waterfowl, taking pictures and enjoying the sunshine.

We beached our kayaks on Honeymoon Island and walked on the sand looking for shells. It's a great place to find shells! We had such a good time catching up, it was like the years since we had last seen each other never existed.

When we had collected a pile of shells we headed back to the rental agency. We were gone a total of three hours. It felt like 30 minutes! It was a delightful afternoon, a getaway from reality for a while. Next time I get down there I'll have my own kayak with me, and we'll have no time limitations. Can't wait!
